Corinne Bailey Rae - Closer (Live in Williamsburg)
[ Download ]
this sounds better than the album cut. She need to release a live album. OMG I personally feel if an artist can not perform live and its better than the album then they can not sing and are probably abusing autotune. I freaking hate autotune.

I Will Always Love You....
My Grandmother passed recently (last Thursday to be exact) and it had never occurred to me how close we really were until I realized that I would never see her again. I mean I am sad but not depressed because I have accepted death as an inevitable event that will occur in all our live and I have grown to expect it even if I am not ready to accept the possibility of the end. I know when people die very often family member have regrets and wish to change or get a do over or one more chance. I can't help but wonder why does it take death for someone to feel regret or remorse for a past deed when we all know death is promised and sometimes arrives unannounced. You should cherish your loved ones as if this was possibly the last time you would see them.
So I traveled back home to saw goodbye to my grandmother for the last time and to share some laughs and memories with my family and friends. I say to them I will try to visit next year but you never know I may not make it so before I go I try to hug and kiss as many as I can so that there is a positive last memory of me like I have of my Grandmother.

The Best Burger I Ever Had...
Me and my girl Shay was out and about in Atlanta again searching for key garment items no girl should do without: multi-colored all -purpose leggings and a little "red" freakum dress.
Well hunger pains slowed our hunt down to a slow drag so we drove around midtown glancing at signs hoping for something (anything) to entice our empty bellies. And Yeah! Burger (1168 Howell Mill rd Atlanta, Ga 30318) caught out attention. I personally always wanted to try it and I have a friend that mans the fryers there that I also wanted to "harass". So since Shay didn't object I politely busted a U-turn and parked in the front lot ( more parking is apparently available in the rear).
The place was packed. And I mean PACKED! The line went out into the sweltering heat but no one seamed to mind the potential of heat induced stroke for a good burger. I was grateful for the the line once I laid my naturally indecisive eyes on the the plethora of choices. There was multiple choices for everything from whole wheat and non gluten buns to grass feed bison or beef to onion rings or fried pickles.
I decided on a grass feed beef burger with white bun, American cheese and the house made chili (Shaun's red chili). I meant to order some fried pickle but forgot so well do that next visit. Shay had a grass feed beef with white cheddar on whole wheat and a side of half onion rings and half hand cut fries. The onion rings were awesome and was perfect tucked into my burger. I expected the chili to have a little spicy kick but was a tad on the sweet side but was good none the less. The burger was Great the bus was so soft on the inside but didn't buckle under the weight of the burger and toppings.
Overall I can say I am most defiantly going back her in the very near future. :)

Customers Are Sooo Freaking Dumb.....
My boyfriend has just introduced me to a really really funny website Not Always Right.com This is some of the funniest dialog I have ever read.
Below is an excerpt from the page that I found very funny but I also wonder are these people serious.I mean no one can be this dumb.
When Funding Is Poultry
Fast Food | Miami, FL, USA
Customer: “Hi, can I have the chicken salad without chicken?”
Me: “Uh, you mean a regular salad?”
Customer: “No. I want the chicken salad without the chicken.”
Me: “Ma’am, a chicken salad without the chicken is just a salad.”
Customer: *stares blankly* “What’s the difference?”
Me: “There’s no chicken.”
*customer stares blankly*
Me: “It’s cheaper?”
Customer: “Okay! I’ll have that!”

Kanye West - POWER
Has anyone seen this new video? Kanye said its supposed to be a moving painting inspired by the Sistine Chapel. I totally get the whole Sistine Chapel thing I hope he wont be surprised when the conspirators come out and say everything in his video means devil this and hell that.
I hate how closed minded society is as a whole. I fell what Erykah Badu was trying to convey in her Window Seat video. That society assassinate that which they do not understand. If the definition of "normal" is what the majority believes does that mean to be different is to be abnormal or crazy. What if the majority was crazy and that one different person was the normal one, what then would the definition of normal be? Its like that episode of the Twilight Zone when every one was pig people and the "ugly" lady was a beautiful blonde. What I am saying is who are we to judge a artist's work based on the standards set by a society that sees with blinders.

Sitting in Class...
Currently sitting in my religions of the world class and I just heard a paper from a former student whose best friend confessed that her father raped her constantly for ten years since she was 10 years old, multiple times a day while her mother (who knew) turned a blind eye and blamed her when the girl confessed to her. The girl hasn't spoke to her family since she left home for college except once. They went to visit her on her 20th birthday and her father said she should forgive him because he has found God and is a changed man.
The girl said she will never speak to them again and she can never forgive him for taking her innocence and her ability to have children. She also said she does not want to go to heaven. She does not think it is fair that someone who destroyed her constantly for years should be so easily forgiven and accepted into heaven. And she would rather spend eternity in hell than in heaven with the man that destroyed her life.
I understand where the girl is coming from. The Bible teaches that everyone has a chance to find God, repent and change their ways to be accepted into Heaven. Since no one knows what is in Heaven it is entirely possible that if her father change his ways and she continue to live her life right that they may one day meet up in Heaven. How can you spend forever seeing someone that hurt you so? How can you pursuade someone in this situation to feel otherwise? You can't. It's impossible but to hold on to the hate is wrong and she should, for her sake, let it go. I think she should forgive for her inner peace but she does not have to make contact or rebuild bridges. This is a hard thing to reason with but it was really something that made me wonder.
